Through our Middle School, we support young people through a period of significant change. We prepare them so that they can move on with confidence to any secondary school, whether Italian or international.
The course ensures that the objectives set out in the Ministerial Guidelines are met, whilst helping students to develop a solid study method.
Learning takes place in a bilingual and multilingual environment, through research, discussion, debate and public speaking.
The educational model
The Middle School’s educational model, building on the Primary School, incorporates active teaching methods, inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary research.
Interdisciplinary design remains at the heart of the programme. It broadens our students’ horizons and keeps them engaged in their studies.
These are challenging years. The social and emotional aspect is one of the main priorities for young people.
Our school meets this need: we provide an environment where learning takes place in an atmosphere of listening and encouragement.

THE CURRICULUM
The Middle School curriculum reinforces knowledge and skills across all subjects. It incorporates key skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, awareness and responsibility.
Particular attention is paid to STEAM subjects, which are taught in a multilingual environment, in both Italian and English.
The curriculum is designed to guide students towards achieving the government’s educational objectives and to establish an effective learning method that can be successfully applied in any sixth-form programme.
A multilingual school
At secondary school, pupils study subjects in Italian and English.
The language programme reinforces Italian-English bilingualism and strengthens Spanish as a third language.
Students expand their academic vocabulary and develop a more informed approach to communication, open to the global dimension.
Advanced bilingualism
English is a part of everyday life through research projects, presentations, workshops and opportunities for discussion.
Languages become tools for expressing ideas, arguing a point and articulating one’s thoughts.

Cambridge certifications
Middle School pupils are prepared to sit the Cambridge English exams, which demonstrate the communication skills they have acquired and offer international recognition.
Preparation for certification is incorporated into the school timetable and is optional.

Outdoor education
Nature remains an essential learning environment in Middle School too.
Students carry out scientific observations, environmental investigations, data collection and design activities.
Outdoor experiences foster independence, responsibility and environmental awareness.
Social and emotional learning (SEL)
SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) helps young people to understand and manage their emotions. It is an approach that supports well-being and the quality of school life.
Through discussions, collaborative activities and dedicated tools, students learn to recognise their own needs, respect other people’s points of view and resolve conflicts.

Nutrition education
To grow up to be adults who can eat well, we need to develop a healthy, curious and joyful relationship with food from an early age.
For us, lunchtime is an educational and social experience. The pupils are also involved in assessing the quality of the canteen.
Teachers are trained to guide pupils through this process, and throughout the year we focus on understanding the food pyramid and on reducing food waste.
Taste Club
One of our school’s proudest achievements: the Taste Club is a group of parents involved in evaluating school meals through tasting.
Becoming Education offers training on healthy eating to parents who wish to play an active role. We welcome them as partners in the children’s wellbeing.
Guidance
Autonomy, competence and relationships are the pillars that enable teenagers to find their own way.
The aim? To make choices that are in line with one’s talents and personal aspirations.
Our career guidance programme is structured around specific methods which, over the years, have helped every student to:
