IB PYP (Primary Years program)

In primary school, the IB PYP is an international educational programme that focuses on the whole child – academically, socially, emotionally and ethically.
Learning in the IB system is based on discovery and concepts. Students explore the world through ‘big ideas’ – universal concepts – using questions, hands-on experiences and real-world connections. Subjects are integrated into multidisciplinary units that help children understand how learning is interconnected rather than isolated.

At the heart of the PYP lies the Learner’s Profile, the aim of which is to encourage students to become curious, caring, reflective and conscientious individuals who take responsibility for their own learning and actions.
