Why we invest in training

The quality of a school depends on the quality of its teachers. That is why, in Becoming Education schools, training is not a one-off event but an ongoing process that fosters competence, awareness and a caring approach to education.

We believe that training teachers means ensuring, every day, that children receive a high-quality education.

Continuous professional development enables us to:

Becoming Academy

Becoming Academy is the dedicated training centre for all teaching staff within the Becoming Education group.

It is a dynamic learning environment, where teachers:

explore innovative methodologies
are exploring new tools
foster a shared professional culture

The Academy is also a place for dialogue and interaction, where participants can share knowledge and experiences with colleagues, educationalists and experts in training processes.

The teacher as a researcher

At Becoming Education we believe in the teacher-researcher: an adult who explores and learns alongside children, and who, day by day, becomes a living example of a curious and scientific approach to the world.
A professional who is self-aware in their approach to work and is always on the lookout for practical and theoretical tools to help them develop.

A shared model

Thanks to the Becoming Academy, all the schools in the group share a cross-curricular educational and pedagogical model for ages 0–13, which ensures continuity, consistency and quality over time.

This model is inspired by the manifesto “Una Scuola” by Monica Guerra and Francesca Antonacci, educationalists and researchers at the University of Milan-Bicocca.
